I wanted to make things, properly

I have always liked making things. Goudplevier exists so I could do that with the thinking and the building in the same place, which means what gets made is what was actually meant.

The experience behind it comes from years inside banks, government departments and telecoms companies. You learn what makes work land and what makes it quietly stall, and that is why we can get to real solutions early.

Technology has moved far enough now that a well considered idea can become something people actually use, within weeks. That still excites me.

The best work I have been part of came from a small group of people who cared, each bringing something the others did not have. We keep the client list short so there is room for that.

Do it properly, so it still holds up months later.

Who does the work?

José Lucas, our founder, from the first message to sign-off. Goudplevier is deliberately small for now, so the person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. As the team grows, you will meet anyone new before they touch your work.

Who owns what we make?

You do. Everything is handed over to you on delivery: code, designs, documents and data, with accounts and licences in your name.

Your tools or ours?

Your choice. We can work inside your tools and accounts from day one, or use ours and transfer everything to you at the end.
